Psalm 116

1   I love the Lord, for he heard my voice;
     he heard my cry for mercy.
2   Because he turned his ear to me,
     I will call on him as long as I live.
3   The cords of death entangled me,
     the anguish of the grave came over me;
     I was overcome by distress and sorrow.
4   Then I called on the name of the Lord:
     “Lord, save me!”
5   The Lord is gracious and righteous;
     our God is full of compassion.
6   The Lord protects the unwary;
     when I was brought low, he saved me.
7   Return to your rest, my soul,
     for the Lord has been good to you.
8   For you, Lord, have delivered me from death,
     my eyes from tears,
     my feet from stumbling,
9   that I may walk before the Lord
     in the land of the living.
10   I trusted in the Lord when I said,
     “I am greatly afflicted”;
11   in my alarm I said,
     “Everyone is a liar.”
12   What shall I return to the Lord
      for all his goodness to me?
13   I will lift up the cup of salvation
      and call on the name of the Lord.
14    I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
       in the presence of all his people.
15   Precious in the sight of the Lord
      is the death of his faithful servants.
16   Truly I am your servant, Lord;
      I serve you just as my mother did;
      you have freed me from my chains.
17   I will sacrifice a thank offering to you
      and call on the name of the Lord.
18   I will fulfill my vows to the Lord
      in the presence of all his people,
19   in the courts of the house of the Lord—
      in your midst, Jerusalem.
      Praise the Lord

Revelation 22 ESV Jesus is coming

6 And he said to me, "These words are trustworthy and true. And the Lord, the God of the spirits of the prophets, has sent his angel to show his servants what must soon take place."
7 "And behold, I am coming soon. Blessed is the one who keeps the words of the prophecy of this book."
8 I, John, am the one who heard and saw these things. And when I heard and saw them, I fell down to worship at the feet of the angel who showed them to me,
9 but he said to me, "You must not do that! I am a fellow servant with you and your brothers the prophets, and with those who keep the words of this book. Worship God."
10 And he said to me, "Do not seal up the words of the prophecy of this book, for the time is near.
11 Let the evildoer still do evil, and the filthy still be filthy, and the righteous still do right, and the holy still be holy."
12 "Behold, I am coming soon, bringing my recompense with me, to repay each one for what he has done.
13 I am the Alpha and the Omega, the first and the last, the beginning and the end."
14 Blessed are those who wash their robes, so that they may have the right to the tree of life and that they may enter the city by the gates.
15 Outside are the dogs and sorcerers and the sexually immoral and murderers and idolaters, and everyone who loves and practices falsehood.
16 "I, Jesus, have sent my angel to testify to you about these things for the churches. I am the root and the descendant of David, the bright morning star."
17 The Spirit and the Bride say, "Come." And let the one who hears say, "Come." And let the one who is thirsty come; let the one who desires take the water of life without price.
18 I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: if anyone adds to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book,
19 and if anyone takes away from the words of the book of this prophecy, God will take away his share in the tree of life and in the holy city, which are described in this book.
20 He who testifies to these things says, "Surely I am coming soon." Amen. Come, Lord Jesus!
21 The grace of the Lord Jesus be with all. Amen.

Wise words from the book of Proverbs

Solomon was famous for his wisdom, and the sayings of Solomon and other wise people were gathered together into the Book of Proverbs

If you want to be wise, respect and obey God. 1:7

Don't forget God's teaching, but always remember his commands. Then you will live for many years. and your life will be full of good things. 3:1, 2

Trust God with your all heart and don't rely on what you think you know. If you trust God in every part of your life, he will show you the way forward. 3:5, 6

Don't think you are wiser than you are; respect God and avoid evil. This is the way to a healthy life in body and in spirit.3:7, 8

A kind answer soothes away anger, but an unkind response makes anger worse. 15:1

If you speak kindly to people, you bring life; but lies and harmful words bring death. 15:4

Without fuel, a fire goes out; without gossip, disagreements melt away. 26:20

Don't go around with someone who gets angry all the time, for you may start to copy them and then you'll be in trouble too. 22:24, 25

Help people who are in need. Don't tell them to come back tomorrow if you can help them now. 3:27, 28

Pride goes before a fall. 16:18

If you make friends with wise people, you will become wise. If you make friends with fools, you will become a fool. 13:20

A fool does not enjoy learning from others but loves the sound of his own voice. 18:2

God is awesome!!!
